Keyhole Covers and Thumbturns
Selection of escutcheons and thumbturns to match our collection of lever door handles.
Escutcheon, also known as a keyhole cover, is a decorative plate used in conjunction with deadlocks and sashlocks. They provide a neat finishing touch around a keyhole and protects the surrounding area from damage and wear when the end of the key misses the keyhole.
Thumbturn also known as a Turn and Release, Bathroom Privacy Key or Snib Lock, is used along with a lever handle on bathroom locks or deadbolts, to allow a simple locking method (without a key). Some thumbturns have a built-in indicator informing whether the door is locked or un-locked – a perfect solution for public places. All thumbturns can be opened from the outside in case of an emergency.
